At Holy Cross, the School Board is completely comprised of parents of either current or former students. We strive to have diversity on the School Board to help bring as many opinions to the table as possible.
Responsibilities of a Board Member include:
Jeff Sells, Chairperson
Jeff serves as our current Chairman of the Board and has been a part of the School Board since 2018. Raised and living in Burleson, Texas most of his life, Jeff went up the road and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a degree in accounting and now works as a specialized tax accountant. Jeff is married to his wife Sylvia and they attend Capstone Church in Benbrook, Texas. Together they have one daughter who currently attends HCCA. Jeff loves HCCA for many reasons and truly believes this school is a family. He is so thankful for the teachers, administrators, and parents who continuously work to provide a quality education with Jesus Christ as the center.
Heath Hanel, Vice Chairperson
Heath and his wife Lisa have two children who first started in public schools before enrolling at HCCA. During their first year at HCCA, Heath was on the annual 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. and was overwhelmed by the sense of community within the school family. It was shortly after when he reached out to the board president looking for a way to make more of an impact at HCCA. Heath served on the Capital Campaign Committee for a year before joining the board in July of 2023.
Danielle Aldridge, Treasurer
Danielle is a current HCCA parent and has been on the Board since 2022. She calls her current season of life an interesting but blessed one. Danielle works as an Divisional Manager in the healthcare industry and is married to Thomas. They have one son that attends HCCA, TJ. Together they attend Crossroads Christian Church. Danielle wholeheartedly believes in HCCA and is excited to be a part of the Board as we serve this wonderful community.
Amanda Wickson, Secretary
Amanda traveled down to Texas from Latrobe, Pennsylvania after earning her Masters of Health and Science degree from Lock Haven University. She has been a long time HCCA parent, graduating two sons through the 8th grade at Holy Cross. While Amanda does not currently have children attending HCCA, her commitment and devotion to this school holds strong. She first joined the Board in 2018 and currently serves as Secretary. Amanda is married to Shane and their family attends Pathway Church in Burleson. Amanda is in a season of change and growth as she parents two teenage boys and just started a new business in Burleson as a Physician Assistant. Amanda is committed to the growth and longevity of HCCA and knows firsthand how this school can positively impact the students and families.
Gina Robinson
Gina is a longtime HCCA parent of three boys who all attended HCCA. Born and raised in Burleson, Gina attended and graduated UTA and spent the majority of her adult life as a high school science teacher. Gina is in a new and exciting season of life and is back to school as a full time grad student at UNT pursuing her masters in speech and language pathology. Gina is a member at First United Methodist Church of Burleson and sings in the choir there. She served on the School Board from 2008-2012 and has been a current member since 2016. She sits as the current Treasurer, and serves HCCA with great expertise and commitment. Gina is forever grateful for the foundation HCCA gave her boys and is honored to continue to be a part of how it impacts other families.
Steve Samuel
Steve is new to the board as of July 2024. Steve has been involved with HCCA for over 30 years. He is married to Mary and they celebrated their 40th anniversary in March 2024. Steve comes to the board with an extensive background in the information technology business, real estate, and has been a liaison to various specialty organizations. His love and passion for HCCA can be seen and all things that he does for HCCA.
Dario Son
Dario is new to the board as of July 2024. Dario is married and has two boys that attend HCCA. He currently works in Information Technology. His family has been a part of the HCCA family since 2019. Dario is passionate about soccer and volunteers his time coaching the soccer team here at HCCA. Dario believes “that HCCA is a Christian-centered school that fosters a family environment where children can grow academically and deepen their faith in God.”
Mark Wylie
Mark is new to the board as of July 2024. Mark is happily married to his wife, Desiree for 8 years. He is father of 3, son Jackson (9), daughter Vivienne (7), and daughter Leighton (5). Mark and his family have attended The Heights Church Burleson for 8 years. Mark is the owner and operator of G&W Mechanical (HVAC/Refrigeration/Plumbing) for 6 years and counting. Mark joined the board out of his love for helping and wanting to be involved in the continued growth of the school. Mark’s quote is “if you want something, get in there and be willing to be part of the process, not sit back and wait for things to happen!"
