Elizabeth couldn’t be more excited to be joining Holy Cross as a First Grade Teacher this year. Originally she was born and raised in Wisconsin, the dairy state. She followed her passion for education to Texas, where she earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Midwestern State University.
In addition to her academic pursuits, she was actively involved in athletics during her time at Midwestern State University. Throughout the years, she ran both cross country and track. These experiences have taught her the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and discipline. These are all qualities that she strives to instill in her students.
Teaching has been her dream since she was a child. She has always loved the idea of being able to make a positive impact on students’ lives. Her goal as a teacher is to foster a love for learning and create an environment where every student feels valued and encouraged. “In my classroom I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and engaging space where students can thrive. I'm a firm believer in hands-on learning experiences because I've seen firsthand how they ignite curiosity and deepen understanding.”
Joining the Holy Cross community is a perfect fit for her. It aligns with both her personal and professional values. Holy Cross provides the opportunity to portray the values of
Christianity throughout her life including through her teaching. It also offers a family atmosphere that isn’t found in very many schools.
Outside of the classroom you will often find her running, diving into a good book, or spending quality time with loved ones and her puppy Roxy. She’s eager to embark on this journey with the Holy Cross community and make this school year one filled with growth, joy, and meaningful connections.
