🔬 Meet Mrs. Lara Lechlitner — Upper School Physics Teacher With a Bachelor of Science from Tarleton and a Master’s in Physical Chemistry from TCU, Mrs. Lechlitner brings a rich background in both teaching and research to HCCA. Her passion for science is deeply rooted in her faith—believing that all science points to God as the Great Scientist. A Burleson native, Lara previously taught high school science and served as a teaching/research assistant at TCU before stepping away to raise her two daughters. Now, she’s excited to return to the classroom to help raise up Christian leaders who think deeply and wonder boldly. She and her husband have been married for 11 years and have two wonderful children. The Lechlitners have been part of the HCCA community since their daughter was three, and they’re grateful to officially join the Warrior family in this new way! 📖 Meet Mrs. Jayne Lawrence — Upper School ELA Teacher Mrs. Lawrence brings over 20 years of experience teaching everything from 6th grade English to AP Literature. A Baylor grad with degrees in English, Religion, and Creative Writing, she also taught Dual Credit English Composition at HCCA last year—and we’re thrilled to officially welcome her to our staff! She and her husband Stephen live in Springtown with their youngest daughter, Micah, and enjoy life on their growing homestead. Their older sons, Christopher and Weston, serve in the Marine Corps and Army. The Lawrences are active at Trinity Bible Church and have a heart for missions, with their third trip to India planned for next spring. 📚 Meet Mrs. Jillian Turk — 3rd Grade Teacher Mrs. Turk joins us from Dripping Springs, TX with five years of teaching experience and a passion for helping kids grow both academically and spiritually. A graduate of Lubbock Christian University, she’s excited to bring her love of learning, service, and storytelling to her new classroom. Jillian and her husband Caleb have been married for 10 years and have three children—Zoe, Levi, and Cade. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and writing short stories for her kids. With a heart for missions, she’s served in Nicaragua, hurricane recovery efforts, and local shelters—and dreams of going to Africa one day! As part of our Upper School program, our 7th graders took a field trip to the Perot Museum to dive into science, tech, and hands-on exploration! 🧠🧬🦖 Field trips like this are included in tuition at HCCA—just one of the ways we make learning engaging and unforgettable!

It’s spring in Texas, which means bluebonnets and all things Texas history! Each year, our 4th graders take an overnight field trip to San Antonio and Austin to explore the history of our great state. As a special reward for our top Festival of Tables raffle ticket sellers, students got to experience an unforgettable trip to the Infinity Exotic Wildlife Preserve! 🐾 From lemurs and sloths to tortoises, kangaroos, and even Grumpy the giraffe—it was a wild and wonderful adventure! We’re so proud of these students and their hard work—and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who purchased raffle tickets to support them. You made this experience possible!

Under the guidance of Señor Denman, our 4th graders took their Spanish skills beyond the classroom at a local Mexican restaurant Antonio’s! They put their learning to the test by ordering food and conversing with their servers—all in Spanish! What a fun and immersive way to bring language learning to life! 🌎🌮

Kindergarten at HCCA is full of unforgettable experiences—like our special Formal Dinner Party hosted at the home of our Head of School, Mrs. Matejka! ✨ Dressed in their finest attire, our kindergarten students enjoyed a six-course meal while practicing etiquette and table manners in a beautiful setting. A huge thank you to Mr. Matejka, who prepared the meal and washed all the dishes—making this tradition even more special. Creating memories for a lifetime!

✨What a WONDER-ful Night!✨ Friday’s 20th Anniversary Festival of Tables was an unforgettable evening filled with fellowship, laughter, and love—all in support of HCCA! With Psalm 40:5 as our theme verse, we stood in awe of God’s blessings and the generosity of our incredible community. Together, we raised $148,737, making this one of the top 5 Festival of Tables events in HCCA history! A special thank you for the record-breaking $64,880 raised through Fund A Need, which will go directly toward furnishing our new Upper School building! The live auction was just as exciting, featuring a precious puppy, unforgettable teacher experiences, and incredible class projects that made for some fun and competitive bidding! A huge thank you to the parents and teachers who made up our steering committee and to our teachers who served at the event—your dedication and hard work made this night truly special! 💙
