Whitney very excited to join the Holy Cross family!  Shelearned about Holy Cross through a former student’s family. “They love this school and highly encouraged me to apply. After my  interview with Principal Matejka, I knew this was the place I wanted to be.” 

Whitney is a proud Texan!  She was born and raised in the DFW area. She greatly enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She loves reading, baking, and going to Disney World. 

Her journey as a teacher began after volunteering at a small Christian school in Fort  Worth. She attended Liberty University and learned how to be a teacher by following the example of Jesus Christ. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Interdisciplinary  Studies and a Master of Education Teaching and Learning - History. She also received her Texas Educator Certificate. 

She looks forward to starting her fifth year of teaching. She strives to create a loving and caring classroom environment. She will work hard to help her students become the best learners they can be. She will also collaborate with her fellow faculty to create a challenging yet fun academic year.
