After nearly twelve years of being home with her children, Jessica is stepping back into the world of kindergarten, as a kindergarten assistant. She was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She went to college at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where she met her husband, Darren. She graduated in December 2007, with a B.S. in Children and Family Ministries. Twenty-eight days later, she got married and moved to Texas. Jessica was a kindergarten teacher’s assistant for three years in Arlington ISD. She was then a preschool teacher at a church in Arlington until she had her first child in 2012. She has three children: two boys and then a girl. Her family moved from Fort Worth to Burleson in 2018. Private school had always been a dream, but was always out of reach. “In 2023, God lined everything up for us to be able to send our middle child to Holy Cross. We fell in love with the place and the people right away. I am thrilled that all three of my children will be attending this coming year. I honestly was not looking for a job, but when I saw the position available, I applied. My prayer was that if this job was for me, that God would bless me with it and if it was not, he would close the door. Thankfully, the door did not close and I will be joining the staff of Holy Cross next year! All praise be to God for giving me this opportunity to be in the classroom working with sweet Kindergarteners once again. I cannot wait to watch them learn and grow.”
