Michelle Stiles, B.A.

Intermediate School ELA Teacher

I grew up not far from here in Alvarado, Texas. I spent some of my preteen years at the Burleson Skate Rink which is now Holy Cross Christian Academy! When my daughter was three, we spent quite a bit of time at the park with friends. One day we were discussing preschools and mother’s day out programs when a stranger interrupted us. She said she needed to tell us about a little school that would change my life! After visiting HCCA for five minutes, I knew this was more than just a school and it would be perfect for my little girl! We enrolled my son as soon as he was old enough to go to PreK as well! I found myself spending many hours volunteering for different teachers and helping wherever I could. I knew without question that I would teach here as soon as I could! I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1996. I began teaching in Alvarado in January of 1997. I taught third grade and first grade in Alvarado ISD for six years and special education in Midlothian ISD for two years. I am very blessed to have a hard working husband and was able to stay home for eleven years with my children. When I was ready to jump back into teaching, there was only one school for me! I love coming to school each day and helping guide my students’ hearts and minds! When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family. We love to travel (mostly to Disney World).! When I do have some down time, l love to sit on the couch with my dog, Sam (my third child), and watch the cooking channel!-
